DENVER—July 30, 2009—Bridget Coughlin, PhD, was promoted to Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Programs, a new position at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. In her new role, she will enhance the Museum’s adult education programs, integrate work on several strategic initiatives, and strengthen relationships with various community partners, including businesses, educational and science organizations, legislators, and donors.

“Bridget will help position the Museum to endure during the recession and thrive during the recovery, with stronger partnerships, programs, and funding for our strategic plan, Museum 20/20,” said George Sparks, President and CEO at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. “Her new role is critical to the Museum’s vision of creating a community of critical thinkers.”

Coughlin was hired in June 2005 as Deputy Chief Curator and Curator of Human Health to build the Museum’s department of health sciences and oversee development of Expedition Health, the Museum’s newest permanent exhibition.
