Join this valuable group of volunteers in assisting with Museum lectures offered by the Adult Programs Department. Volunteers assist with lectures by greeting visitors, working the reception desk, selling tickets, ushering and creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. Volunteers are requested to attend meetings every other month for program assignments, and re-cap of lectures. Volunteers who cannot attend bi-monthly meetings may keep in contact with Adult Programs office manager over email or phone.
Required Skills: Excellent customer service skills, friendly and outgoing.
Training: Staff will train
Time Requirements: Flexible schedule, volunteers are expected to work at least 3 events per month. Most lectures are held weekday evenings, with an average of 4 weekday lectures per month. Volunteers are expected to arrive around 6:00 p.m. for evening lectures and 11:45 a.m. for day lectures. Volunteers may attend lecture they are working for free.
